Over the course of 2019 and the lockdowns of 2020, Alix Perez and I came together in our studios in London and Portland and assembled this collection of tunes into something that we’re really proud of. It flows together seamlessly, so listen to it front to back if you can. 'From a Vein' in my opinion is some of our most refined work to date. This record was largely produced during the first few months of lock down while I was in Portland in 2020. I'm super proud of what we've built with SHADES. From doing tiny shows to 20 people in North America to now. A project that started through working with Foreign Beggars together, it means a lot to me personally. It's also a blessing to have Sander in my life as a friend and collaborator. One of the most talented producers, always pushing the envelope. Please take the time to listen to this record in full, as it's continuous from the first to the last track and should be listened to as a whole. Much love to The Gaslamp Killer and everyone involved.
